Started off with a plain bulletin board, I added left over material from a quilt that has just been lying around. Bought two rolls of ribbon and added flat thumb tacks and voila, you have a quick and easy picture board!! I didn’t measure out the lines on my ribbon to make sure that I had everything lined up straight, but that’s what I get for trying to rush through it before NCIS came on!!
I love my projects…but not this much.
Yarn bomb to the extreme!! I love to sit down and crochet, but I don’t have the time or patience for that much! Wow!!
I love this… I’m a bit obsessed with The Hunger Games and I can’t WAIT for the movie!!
REBLOG and enjoy! This is for you Psych-Os!
Yay!! “That’s what I’m talkin’ about!”

Ice Typography is an environmental art series by Nicole Dextras displaying words made from ice on various landscapes.
This description is from her artist statement:
The installations have varied from 8-foot high ice letters on the Yukon River to 18-inch high letters set in downtown Toronto. When the ice texts are installed on site, the temperature determines how long it will take for them to change state from solid to liquid. This phase of transition becomes symbolic of the interconnectedness of language and culture to the land as they are affected by time and by a constant shifting and transforming nature.
So neat.

Looking for good books…
I’m a first year sixth grade teacher, all subjects. I have a wide range of reading abilities in my classroom (my lowest readers are reading at a 2nd grade level, my highest are at a 10th grade level). I’m looking for some book/novel ideas that I can use with my various reading groups that aren’t a) “too baby-ish” for my lower readers and b) are difficult enough for my highest readers but are appropriate for 11 & 12 year olds.
If anyone has ANY suggestions, I would appreicate it! I’m at a complete loss as to what to use for my students.

I feel like I should get this for Sr. Pat when I’m at Siena this year for Alumni Weekend! (Along with a set for my self!!)
